I'm Alex! I started SetoJapan.com because of my passion for the region, especially cycling on the Shimanami Kaido and my favorite city of Onomichi in Hiroshima.

I studied Economics with a minor in Japanese at the University of California, Davis. I am a recovering triathlete (1x Ironman Finisher), a race car driver, swimming coach, and a student of life. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area of California, USA.
